Season 2 Results -
Nemeth - 29th May 2003
|
Season 2 is now over and I've corrected any missing losses in the tables. Thanks to all the teams who made it to the end of the season and congratulations to all the winners. A big thanks also to everyone who helped out by refereeing matches. Here's how it finished ...
Division 1
Blackbugs' lead in Division 1 was untouchable going into last night's matches, and they extended it with a 3-0 win over BooZZe to finish Season 2 as Division 1 Champions. Good luck to all the ex-bB players.
Suicidal Serial Killers maintained their rounds difference advantage over Void with a 3-0 win over OMG, OMG defaulting yet again.
Division 2
Newproyect finish Season 2 as Division 2 Champions with a 6 point lead over their closest competitors.
The battle for 2nd place was tighter with Sixth Sense taking it with a rounds different advantage over Divergence and ExP.Euro
Division 3
Clan RaZoR took Division 3 with a straight 7 wins and only dropping 2 rounds all season.
Following them in 2nd place was KTIT, their only loss was to RzR, giving them a 3 point advantage over Team KK in 3rd.
Division 4
Alliance and Soul Reiver tie on points in Division 4. However Alliance maintain a stronger rounds difference and that sees them through as Division 4 Champions. |

League Tables -
Nemeth - 28th May 2003 12:54
|
I’ve had a few questions about the accuracy of the League Tables, so to save myself having to go through the same conversation repeatedly on IRC it’s worth explaining the inaccuracies.
After a teams details have been edited (ie. player changes), and if they’ve lost any matches, the League database fails to calculate their Matches Played and Matches Lost totals correctly (any matches lost won’t be included in the calculations). The League database will however show the rounds totals correctly, and as you obviously don’t get points for matches lost the standings aren’t affected in any way.
As teams complete their final matches this season I’ll edit their info to show the correct number of Matches Played and Matches Lost. Until then the Matches Played and Matches Lost figures will be incorrect for most teams. |

Rounds Difference is back in -
Nemeth - 14th Apr 2003 12:06
|
Following the rules update I put out last week Rusty from Ground*Zero commented on the removal of rounds difference, this included some very valid opinions and issues we hadn't taken into account. We've discussed the options more among the admin team and decided to put rounds difference back in the rules.
Rounds difference therefore will continue to be used to decide standings where teams are tied on points. Tied in with the rounds difference rule is the score awarded for a default win, this will now be entered as 3-0, rather than the 1-0 score which was entered last season.
Thanks go out to Rusty for taking the time to share his opinions on this.

Another Appeal For Ref's -
Boris - 12th Apr 2003
|
As Jolt's RTCW League Season 2 is ready to begin I'm in need of referee's for the matches.
If anyone knows someone who is interested in being a ref please contact either myself or Sac. We can also be found in #rtcwleague.jolt.
OSP makes reffing easy and Sac has made a ref.cfg so it's very basic to use.
We look forward to another exciting league season so GL and HF!

Season 2 start delayed by 1 ... -
Nemeth - 04th Apr 2003 12:14
|
We’ve decided to delay the start of Season 2 by 1 week to allow us to carry out more work on the League. The work involves:
1. Upgrading the League Database (this in itself involves backing up all the data, clearing the database, carrying out the upgrade and then re-entering all the data)
2. Publishing some significant rules changes
3. Filling in clans from the Pending List
4. Generating the fixtures for Season 2
Unfortunately play-off matches, rules changes and outside commitments have prevented us making a start on this work already. Therefore we’d like to get all this work done over the next few days so we can give you a week’s notice of the divisions and fixtures before the League starts on Weds 16th April.
The structure on League nights will remain the same, with Division 1 playing on Weds at 8pm, Division 2 playing on Thurs at 9pm, Division 3 playing on Weds at 9pm and Division 4 playing on Thurs at 8pm.
The maps for Season 2 will follow Season 1 as closely as possible, with the new map (whatever it may be) coming in at week 5. The map sequence will therefore be:
Week 1 - Assault
Week 2 - Village
Week 3 - Ice
Week 4 - Sub
Week 5 - New map to be decided upon
Week 6 - Beach
Week 7 - Base
If you have any queries please contact us on IRC.

Boris - 27th Mar 2003
|
Now that our 1st Jolt Return to Castle Wolfenstein League season has finished I have some poeple I need to publicly Thank.
First off I have to give a big round of applause to Sac! He has spent countless hours helping me with the league, in 500000 easy lessons :) Without Sac I'm not really sure where the league would be today. I couldn't be more proud to have him on the league admin team.
I also have to give a Big Thanks to Jolt and DrakenXG for taking the time to supply us with servers for the league matches. I think they've done a quality job on supporting the league.
And as for my ref team, you also get a Big Thanks for all you've done to help out with the league. You've done a great job in showing up when I needed you. I look forward to working with all of you on April 10th when the 2nd season begins.
